Gravette High School
Gravette High School is a 126,000 square foot facility located on a 40-acre site. Crafton Tull worked with the DLR Group of Overland Park, Kansas on the project and also prepared a master plan for the development of the site including playfields, bus maintenance facilities, parking and drives, building expansion, and natural areas. The high school, which began construction in January of 2005, includes a commons area and a 600-seat auditorium. The structure is steel bar joist on load-bearing masonry with brick veneer. The HVAC system is packaged rooftop units, and the lighting system is controlled with motion sensors for energy conservation. All building systems are monitored and controlled with a building automation system.
