Rogers Aquatics Center

When the City of Rogers decided to build a park and aquatics center, they hired the team of Crafton Tull and Counsilman-Hunsaker to prepare a master plan, engineering documents, and architectural design services. To make the park a recreation destination, the theme of "Nature in the Ozarks" is carried throughout in the architectural elements, paving design, water features, signage, and play components. Nestled among areas of native landscape at the west end of the park, the Aquatics Center features a lazy river, tower slides, spray pools, and a tot pool. A locker room and concession area serve park-goers, while a competition pool provides a location for team events, therapy classes, and other water activities. The east end of the park is home to playfields, a shade pavilion, two basketball courts, and ponds surrounded by wetland vegetation. Trails connect the park elements as well as connecting the park to the city-wide trail system.
