PROJECTS
Jonesboro Sportsplex
Crafton Tull competed against multiple well-known national architectural firms and was selected to design the Jonesboro Sportsplex in collaboration with Hastings + Chivetta. The site was chosen for its proximity and accessibility to other businesses, hotels, and restaurants in central Jonesboro.
The facility will be multi-use to meet the various needs of the Jonesboro community and surrounding areas. Our team will provide architectural and landscape architecture services as well as environmental engineering services that include U.S. Army Corps of Engineers jurisdictional determination request and coordination and tree surveys.
The design process started with public meetings where citizens asked questions and gave feedback about the project and its amenities. The focus of the Sportsplex is on adaptable facilities for events featuring sports and conventions. Amenities will include basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts, a 50-meter competition pool, a warm-up pool, outdoor aquatics, and food services. Flexible exhibit and convention spaces, expansive spectator seating, and ample parking spaces will also be included.
Crafton Tull is coordinating with various specialty subconsultants and the construction manager (Nabholz Construction) throughout the design process. The project will be a building that will meet the needs of community members for many years to come.
